American bresse x delaware - A hybrid between the delaware and American bresse. combining the best of both worlds, delicate bones and meaty structure, white feathers and large frame. We are the only breeder in the world to produce this hybrid.

American Bresse - This breed of chicken, boasting a 500 year pedigree, originating in France, and in part because of the fat marbling in the meat, is considered the best breed of chicken. The A. bresse has delicate bones, and white feathers. It is on the smaller side, so ideal for a 2-3 person meal.

Because these birds do not have the same meat characteristics as those purebreds and the Del x Bresse hybrid, we pass them along at a discount. Generally recommended as soup birds though they do have similar whole leg cuts to the A. bresse.
