Red Alder Bark has long been used for its medicinal values. 

Red Alder Bark naturally contains Salicin, a chemical similar to aspirin. Giving it abilities to bring relief to pains, it works very well for headaches. It is reported to help with arthritis 

Red Alder Bark is also great for boosting your immunity. It’s is antibacterial and anti inflammatory, and can also help when someone is fighting a virus off. 

It can be made it to a beautiful red tea, with a very light flavor, making it pleasant to drink, and has a fresh aroma. Add sweetener if desired. 

Red Alder Bark has also been used for dying natural fabrics, producing a red to orange color. 

Bark is harvested from young twigs, peeled shortly after harvesting. There are some Alder buds naturally mixed in with the bark.
