Beautiful passion fruit vines grow all along the deer fencing surrounding our avocado groves on our ranch in Morro Bay, California. The peak of the season and the bulk of the harvests takes place throughout October and November.
Please note that the fruit begins to wrinkle up as it matures and is ready to eat. It is important to remember that the uglier a piece of passion fruit is, the sweeter and more delicious it is!

Shanley Farms is a California-based fruit company founded by the father-daughter duo Jim Shanley and Megan Warren. We are driven by a shared passion for bringing joy and excitement to food lovers and culinary explorers. Currently, we farm 40 acres in Morro Bay, CA, as well as 62 acres in Visalia, CA. Shanley Farms produces Citriburst Finger Limes, Morro Bay Avocados, Gator Eggs Avocados, specialty coffee varieties, Lizbon Lemons, and more. 

Jim's vision and passion for farming were guided by his belief that there is always something new to discover. As he famously said, “People say there is nothing new under the sun. Follow me. You’ll find something.” Although Jim has since passed on, his pioneering spirit has defined the growth of Shanley Farms ever since.

This box is exactly the same as our Morro Bay Avocado box but we removed 1 - 2 avocados to make room for a 40 gram pack of Citriburst Finger Limes. 
Morro Bay Avocados are premium hass avocados available beginning the first of September and into November.  Morro Bay Avocados are grown in the northernmost avocado growing region in California.  Morro Bay Avocados are the last avocados harvested at the end of the California avocado season.  Shanley Farms is committed to harvesting Morro Bay Avocados only once they have reached full maturity and achieved a peak oil content. The end results are extremely rich in flavor, creamy, and smooth avocados. 
We recommend staggering the ripening process of your avocados.  Place 1/3 in your refrigerator, 1/3 on your kitchen counter, and the remaining 1/3  in a brown paper bag with an apple to speed up the ripening. 
Citriburst Finger Lime pearls can best be described as citrus caviar. Juice bursts from the citrus pearls when bitten into with a fresh lemon-lime-grapefruit flavor. Use Citriburst pearls instead of a lemon or lime on seafood, desserts, and cocktails. This quantity is perfect for a meal or cocktails for 4-6 people.
