Von Thornless Blackberry Plant

Von blackberries are glossy and cylindrical in shape, glossy black in color and very attractive. The fruit are large, 6.6 g and 1.5-1.7 g larger than the size of the fruit of the ‘Navaho’ cultivar. Medium, cylindrical, uniform shape. Glossy black in color.

Von is a new floricane-fruiting blackberry released by North Carolina State University. it is the first thornless blackberry released from the NCSU Rubus breeding program. ‘Von’ is named in honor of Mr. Von Harvey Underwood, who worked in the fruit breeding programs at North Carolina State University for over 44 years.

You will receive 2 Von Thornless Blackberry rooted  plants.

Your plants will be shipped with the roots covered in soil and dampened in a small plastic bag and ready to plant upon arrival. The plants will be approximately 4” to 5” in height.
