i love this remedy and have a great time harvesting cinquefoil leaf + flower.

on a physical level it's a good general astringent. 

some a few sources in very old literature considers it an excellent remedy for opening internal obstructions,

relieving shaking (often a liver imbalance at its roots) and cleansing external sores, boils and festerings. 

i find cinquefoil to be completely charming 

i almost exclusively use this remedy for 'reality checks' 

it seems to open mental and spiritual obstructions as well as physical. 

i consider cinquefoil a solid alternative or complementary measure to micro dosing 

it's very down to earth and practical 

which i find extremely useful for people that want to be complicated when the basics aren't in order 

or for people who seem trapped by complicated ideas and ideals that don't work or lead to clear results 

the quote comes to mind:

'we often judge others by their actions and ourselves by our intentions'

cinquefoil is very ok with pointing out what doesn't work

especially where there are double standards or when we are blind to ourselves or others

which starts to tie into the plant's most notorious use

cinquefoil is a plant of justice and good order

it is most known for its reliable service in situations that involve

abuse of power or sinister side of bureaucracy and hierarchy

a drop of tincture in water or applied to oneself

a spritz in your office or on court documents

all work just fine  

low doses work well and even moderate doses may be too physically astringent

if it's in season you could work with the fresh plant or dry it nicely
