Here we go again, another claimant for "hottest pepper in the world". When we first did this with the Reaper, it turned out to be true. Now we have this challenger coming forward. Will it be the new champ? We are unable to test Scovilles, but here's the info of what's cooking here.
This is the actual Dragon Breath chile. These were sourced from the original growers. The peppers themselves look like squat Carolina Reapers. In comparison, they are roughly 75 percent of the size. The plants seem to grow healthier than a Reaper plant. Each one was roughly 6" taller than our average Reaper plant grows. All 6 plants gave us the same phenotype, however, we are unsure as to which filial these may be. For future reference, this description was created in 2019.
