Fram Heirloom Aloe Vera leaves develop from a 23-year cultivation process to increase the sugar content of the gel inside the leaves. The flavor of the gel in the leaves is a cross between refreshing spring water and water with a hint of sugar. The leaves are cut to about 12 inches long and wrapped in plastic to protect them. Ice packs are included to keep the gel and meat at a cooler temperature. Upon receiving your leaf, put the leaf in the refrigerator until use to keep it cooler than room temperature. Our stock quantity changes because these precious plants take time to grow the leaves. The good thing is these amazing plants always will grow more leaves! I post a few recipes on my website and update every so often. Please visit my website for some recipes that incorporate my aloe vera leaves. http://www.frambooks.com/fram-heirloom-aloe-vera/

Depending on how many days, the flavor of your infused vodka will taste just like a tequila. Or the gel and meat can be incorporated into cooking and baking. You can make a delicious aloe jelly, aloe jelly icing for white cakes, or aloe gravy with mushroom powders. An order of a leaf comes with instructions; including rinsing away the yellow sap (called the "latex") and options for preparation to eat or drink.
Barbadensis aloe vera plants originated from the dry regions of our world. Fram Heirloom Aloe Vera plants originate from "Grandma", a 23-year-old aloe from Arizona. Grandma was just 4 inches tall when I brought her home. She is still thriving, producing, and flowering in the nursery, even with her massive size. Fram Heirloom Aloe Vera plants have been grown with love to produce a higher sugar content than most aloes used in edible aloe products. This store sells the large leaves. You will receive much instruction on using the gel of the leaves to infuse in distilled liquors and for eating.
