Coming to you straight from the North Woods of Minnesota... terracotta hedgehog mushrooms!

If you have never had the pleasure of eating a hedgehog mushroom, you can expect a fantastic fall flavor. They are a fairly meaty mushroom with a wonderful nutty, slightly earthy flavor. They pair up with most proteins quite well.

These mushrooms are a favorite in these parts and is always quick to go!

Each lot is for 1 full dried ounce of hedgehogs. An ounce doesn't sound like much, but this is quite a healthy portion size. Cooked as a side dish it will feed several people.

One of my personal favorites is to add them to a gravy and serve them over fried taters and pork chops.

All products are shipped via USPS. They will arrive in a food grade bag protected by a box, bubble mailer, or a combination of both.

Your mushrooms will arrive in a food grade bag. They will stay crisp until the seal is broken. If you plan to display them or want a longer shelf life simply remove from the food bag and store in an air tight jar out of direct sunlight. Your mushrooms can last for several years when stored in sealed jars.

These mushrooms should be rehydrated prior to cooking. If you plan to use them in a soup or stew try rehydrating them in vegetable stock on a low simmer. The flavor is unbeatable!
