Chaga Chunks Harvested in the Fall and Winter thoroughly dried with a dehydrator
Alright from some knowledge gained overtime i've learned that Chaga is an adaptogen that has been used for thousands of years, here are some of the ways you can use Chaga and simple ways to explore Chaga. If any unique ways let me know!
Ways to Use Chaga
Tea
A simple way to use Chaga is to add a few crumbles of chaga to water. Simple to tell when ready as the water will turn brownish black like coffee. Chaga can be used for a few rounds a little lasts a good amount!
Tincture
Chaga contains compounds that benefit from the use of a hot water and alcohol tincture. So if you have some vodka this mushroom contains terpenes which are extracted over a couple weeks.
Cream/Lotion
Chaga can be made into a lotion you just need to buy some shea butter and cocoa butter or some other alternative. Chaga for skin contains alot of good stuff.
HOW
turn chaga into a powder then cook down alot in order to get a good amount of the liquid for the ratio of Butter/Oil to Chaga
9Tbs shea butter
3 Tbs Chaga
Smoked
Chaga has been used with tobacco to enhance the effects, and used within northern native american communities. tobacco used is less processed and manufactured than the tobacco commonly found today.
Vitamin D deficient?
Melanin is one of the high properties of Chaga. This is interesting as the melanin in chaga converts to vitamin D when ingested in our bodies.
